Open the Animation Management window through the tools window, or immediately after loading Animation Creator™. Then touch the 'Add' button, enter a name for the new animation, and touch 'Done.' Now touch the new animation in the list and beging editing!
Deleting an animationOpen the Animation Management window through the tools window, or immediately after loading Animation Creator™. Then, swipe your finger to the right, across the animation you want to delete. Confirm your deletion.
Opening an animationIf you're currently editing an animation, tap with three fingers. At the bottom, you'll see the 'Open' button at the right, tap it. You may now select or delete an animation.
Playing an animationOpen the Tools window by tapping the screenshot with three fingers. Touch the 'Play' button at in the top toolbar to flip to the Animation window. When in Animation mode, press the 'Play' button at the top to play and pause your animation. When you play an animation, the animation frame controls will hide, to show these controls, touch the screenshot once. To exit Animation mode, show the frame controls and touch the 'Back' button at the top left of the window.
UndoYou have the ability to undo, just shake your iPhone or iPod Touch! This undo works with any tool you use, except for setting the background of an animation and deleting a frame.
Brush ToolThe brush tool is the most simple, and most creative way to get your animation going. It gives you ability to paint freely on your canvas and also allows you to single tap one finger to draw a simple dot. The width of this tool can be adjusted in the main tools window. The color of this tool can be selected in the color selection window. To undo an unwanted brush stroke, shake to undo.
Eraser ToolThe eraser tool is very similar to the brush tool. It allows your to erase the content of the animation freely by painting with your finger. The width of this tool can be adjusted in the main tools window. To undo an unwanted eraser stroke, shake to undo.
Positioner ToolThe positioned tool is a very powerful multi-purpose tool, especially for creating animations in Animation Creator™. It allows you to position a frame with the standard touch and drag feature for positioning. It also allows you to rotate a frame around a point you specify! When using the positioned tool, touch and release one time to activate the rotation feature. You'll then se a small cross-hair identifying your rotation point. Now, touch and drag around that point to rotate your frame. When you release after rotation, the cross-hair will disappear. To undo an unwanted position move, shake to undo.
Line ToolThe line tool gives you the ability to draw perfectly straight lines in your animations. This is very useful when drawing with your finger! When using this tool, touch and drag your finger to create these perfect lines. The first place you touch will be the origin of the line, and dragging your finger will create the line for you. The width of this tool can be adjusted in the main tools window. The color of this tool can be selected in the color selection window. To undo an unwanted line, shake to undo.
Rectangle ToolThe rectangle tool, like the line tool, allows you to draw perfect rectangles. This is very useful when drawing with your finger! When using this tool, touch and drag your finger to create a perfect rectangle. The first place you touch will be the origin of the rectangle, and dragging your finger will create the rectangle for you. The width of this tool can be adjusted in the main tools window. The color of this tool can be selected in the color selection window. To undo an unwanted rectangle, shake to undo.
Circle ToolThe circle tool, like the line tool, allows you to draw perfect circles. This is very useful when drawing with your finger! When using this tool, touch and drag your finger to create a perfect circle. The first place you touch will be the center of the circle, and dragging your finger will create the perfect circle for you. The width of this tool can be adjusted in the main tools window. The color of this tool can be selected in the color selection window. To undo an unwanted rectangle, shake to undo.
ZoomWhen editing an animation, use two fingers to pinch and zoom. Also, when zoomed in, use two fingers to pan around. Double tap two fingers to quick zoom between 100% and 200%, or to quickly get back to 100%.
Add FrameOpen the main tools window with a three finger tap. At the top, is the frame management toolbar. Tap the 'Add' button to add a new blank frame. You will immediately be moved to the new frame you've just created. This feature can also be accessed in the Quick Menu.
Delete FrameOpen the main tools window with a three finger tap. At the top, is the frame management toolbar. Tap the 'Delete' button to delete the current frame you're on. You will then be prompted if you really want to delete the current frame. If you accept and delete the current frame, you will immediately be moved to the next frame. The undo feature does not work for deleting frames. This feature can also be accessed in the Quick Menu.
Copy FrameOpen the main tools window with a three finger tap. At the top, is the frame management toolbar. Tap the 'Copy' button to add a copy of the current frame. You will immediately be moved to the new frame you've just created, which will be an identical copy of the frame you were on. The copy will automatically be positioned right after the current frame. This feature can also be accessed in the Quick Menu.
Frame NavigationTo navigate through each from of your animation, open the main tools window with a three finger tap. At the top, is the frame management tool bar. Use the left arrow and the right arrow on each end of the tool bar to cycle through each frame. The current frame and total frame count of your animation will be displayed at the top right of the frame management tool bar.
Tool SelectionOpen the main tools window with a three finger tap. At the bottom, is the tools toolbar. Tapping the first button labeled 'Tools' will show the tool selection window. Tap the tool you want to use, select if you want a drop shadow with the tool, and then select the painting size of the selected tool with the slider at the bottom of the tools window. To exit the tools window, tap outside of the window or tap the 'Tools' button again.
Color SelectionOpen the main tools window with a three finger tap. At the bottom, is the tools toolbar. Tapping the second button labeled 'Color' will show the color selection window. You may select from the existing color palette, or get creative and create your own color with transparency by tapping the 'Sliders' button at the top of the color selection window. To exit the tools window, tap outside of the window or tap the 'Color' button again.
Background SelectionOpen the main tools window with a three finger tap. At the bottom, is the tools toolbar. Tapping the third button labeled 'Background' will show the background selection window. You may select from the existing color palette, get creative and create your own color by tapping the 'Sliders' button at the top of the color selection window, or select a photo from your iPhone camera or photo library by tapping the 'Photo' button at the top of the color selection window. To exit the tools window, tap outside of the window or tap the 'Background' button again.
Upload to YouTubeIn the animation detail view, touch the 'Upload to YouTube' item. In the YouTube upload window, you must provide your YouTube account username and password. Your password is never cached or saved. Enter a title, description, and some search tags for your animation. You may also select if you want your animations to be public or private. Finally, you may rotate the animation during the upload by touching the 'Orientation' item. This feature give you the ability to rotate your animation if it's best viewed in landscape left or landscape right.
Post to TwitterIn the animation detail view,
touch the 'Tweet YouTube Link!' item. In the Twitter post window, you
must provide your Twitter account username and password. Your password
is never cached or saved. When you're ready, touch 'Post' at the top right!
Note: You must first 'Upload to YouTube' before you can Tweet about your animation.
In the animation detail view, you have the ability to customize the Canvas. You may enable or disable certain buttons on the canvas by toggling them on and off. This is useful if you want a clean, clutter-free canvas with optimal drawing space.
